Human Glasscapes: Swing Night at the Savoy
Limited edition of 25.
“Strictly awesome! Quite amazing and, when lit, as mesmerizing as watching a fireplace. Love it.”(W. Bloomfield, MI customer)
Is that Benny Goodman leading the band? “Swing Night at the Savoy” executes in art glass all the lifts and drops of swing’s most famous dances—the Lindy Hop, the Charleston, the Jitterbug—crowded onto the dance floor in front of a classic big jazz band.
This work of figurative glass art captures the music and dance energy of the Swing Era in kiln-fired glass dancers which can be displayed as seen or re-arranged freely. The interactive sculpture is illuminated either day or night by a light, recessed into the rear of the hardwood base, which is reflected off the wall behind.
Dimensions: 42' long by 8' deep by 11' high.
